Professional recommendation (hereinafter, the Recommendation) is a suggestion or proposal to hire somebody because of his or her professional capacity. Usually, the Recommendations include testimonies of the recommended person's achievements.

The Recommendation highlights individual's qualifications for an internship, job, or college. The Recommendations are usually written by a supervisor, employer, teacher or mentor in order to add more weight to an individual's application.
