Group cohesion (alternatively known as social cohesion or team cohesion) is a situation when team members are emotionally attached to one another and motivated toward the team because of their attachment.

According to Organizational Behavior by Robbins and Judge (17th edition),

Team cohesion. A situation when team members are emotionally attached to one another and motivated toward the team because of their attachment.
