Frictional unemployment is unemployment that occurs as workers move between jobs.

According to Principles of Economics by Timothy Taylor (3rd edition),

Frictional unemployment. Unemployment that occurs as workers move between jobs.

According to Macroeconomics by Mankiw (7th edition),
