Interpersonal competence

Interpersonal competence (alternatively known as human competence, interpersonal skills, people skills) is knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to work with other people individually and in a group. That competence includes one's capacity to listen actively, communicate, understand other's motivation, etc.

According to the HRBoK Guide,

Interpersonal skills. Traits for effective social interaction. Effective social qualities for communicating and building good relationships with different people.
