Business analysis practice (hereinafter, the Practice) is the practice to analyze a business or some element of a business, define its needs and recommend solutions to address these needs and/or solve a business problem, and create value for stakeholders. The Practice relates to business analysis and service management. This Practice is a part of the ITIL practices.

According to the ITIL Foundation 4e by Axelos,

Business analysis practice. The practice of analysing a business or some element of a business, defining its needs and recommending solutions to address these needs and/or solve a business problem, and create value for stakeholders.
