An Opplet incubator (hereinafter, the Incubator) is a virtual and/or physical environment for the care, protection, and growth of those aspiring entrepreneurs who would like to become WorldOpp fellows.

The Incubator is a part of WorldOpp Candidate Team (hereinafter, the Team). WorldOpp Fellow Team sponsors the Incubator's activities and the CNM Council for Career Services oversees both the Incubator and WorldOpp Fellow Team.


Members

The Incubator consists of from one to seven paid members, of whom:

Learning

In order to administer DevOps for the Group and its Tech, the Incubator:

  1. Leads those public relations that are related to the Group and Tech. Particularly,
    • Edits the FriendsOfCNM.com website;
    • Directs those newsletters that are related to the Group and Tech;
    • Updates those parts of the CNM Wiki that are related to the Group and Tech;
  2. Onboards new Incubator and Group members. Particularly,
    • Administers those courses at CNM Campus that are related to their onboarding;
    • Facilitates periodic informational sessions that are designed for new and current Incubator and Group members;
  3. Sources and screens new Incubator and Group members;
  4. Monitors CNM ERP including accounting for the Group and Tech.

Stipends

No hourly pay rate is available for this volunteer position; instead, the Employer offers the weekly budget for the Incubator. It is calculated in the following way:

Based on the Department's budget, the payroll budget for a specific position is:

  • Defined once a week based on the previous week's performance. For paid Candidates, the weekly pay cannot be less than $15 or more than $60;
  • Subject for applicable laws. Because of undefined balance of study and work, the Candidate defines the number of her or his work hours on her or his own, while taking into consideration the minimum wage rate. For instance, if the compensation is $30 and the minimum wage rate is $10, the Candidate cannot work for more than 3 hours as a paid employee.
