CNMCyber Meetup (formerly known as Hands-On Training; hereinafter, the Group) is a meetup group located at meetup.com/TechDC.


Description

This meetup group supports a collection of pre-entry jobs that is called CNMCyber. The focus of CNMCyber is starter roles, internships, beginner roles and pre-entry-level jobs. Anyone is welcome to join the group and we at CNMCyber enjoy receiving questions from members. You are therefore invited to participate in any of our events and discussions The technology behind the services is called CNM Cloud; it currently undergoes development described at https://wiki.cnmcyber.com/en/CNM_Cloud_Usable

Events available:

  • Week at CNM Cyber is your chance to preview how life at CNM Cyber looks like. During these events, CNM Cyber coordinators discuss their work last week and plans for the week ahead. Each session ends with recruiting efforts. The attendees will be welcomed to join the Cyber team as coordinators, recruiters, cyber security analysts, sysadmins, systems engineers, or web developers. No prior training nor experience is needed to start; training is organized on site.
  • CNM Cyber Guided Tours is your chance to take a closer look at the technologies utilized at CNM Cyber platform. Its app scope includes AVideo, Eclipse, Jitsi, GitLab, HumHub, MediaWiki, Moodle, Nextcloud, Odoo, Redmine, SuiteCRM, Taiga, WordPress. The monitoring tools feature Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix. The database systems encompass Ceph, MariaDB, PostgeSQL. Admin packages incorporate Fail2ban, HAProxy, Iptables, OpenLDAP, ProxmoxVE.
  • CNM Cyber Office Hour is a session where you can have your questions answered, live, and any tech issues you may face during the on-boarding process. We discuss the challenges, progress and review of the projects that learners have undertaken.

Life is about learning. As the world evolves deeper in the usage of technology, do not feel like you are left behind. This includes those who are already on the way to extend or add on to their skill set. It does not matter who you are (government, technical professions, finance, etc.), let's get you on board.
