Change agent is a person who acts as a catalyst and assumes the responsibility for managing change activities.

According to Organizational Behavior by Robbins and Judge (17th edition),

Change agent. A person who acts as a catalyst and assumes the responsibility for managing change activities.

According to Management by Robbins and Coulter (14th edition),

Change agent. Someone who acts as a catalyst and assumes the responsibility for managing the change process.

According to Juran's Quality Handbook by Defeo (7th edition),

Change agent. The individual or group with responsibility for leading and implementing an organizational change; anyone within the organization, at whatever level, who has the desire and accepts the responsibility for initiating or leading the change effort.

According to the BABOK Guide (3rd edition),

Change agent. One who is a catalyst for change.

According to the HRBoK Guide,

Change agent. Something or someone that causes change. A person or department that deliberately causes change within an organization.
