Cross-functional team

Cross-functional team is a workteam of employees from about the same hierarchical level, but from different work areas, who come together to accomplish a task.

Cross-functional team. A workteam of employees from about the same hierarchical level, but from different work areas, who come together to accomplish a task.

According to Management by Robbins and Coulter (14th edition),

Cross-functional team. A workteam composed of individuals from various functional specialties.
