Evaluation is the assessment of how relevant resources and capabilities are to generic strategies in generic internal assessment.

According to the BABOK Guide (3rd edition),

Evaluation. The systematic and objective assessment of a solution to determine its status and efficacy in meeting objectives over time, and to identify ways to improve the solution to better meet objectives. See also indicator; metric, monitoring.

Evaluation. Gibb's term for judgmental assessments of another person's behavior, thereby increasing the odds of creating a defensive communication climate. See also description, "I" language.
