Leverage ratios is the debt-to-equity ratio and debt-to-total assets ratio measure the extent to which a firm has been financed by debt.

According to the Strategic Management by David and David (15th edition),

Leverage ratios. The debt-to-equity ratio and debt-to-total assets ratio measure the extent to which a firm has been financed by debt.
