The CNM Cyber Welcome Session (or, simply, welcome session) is the group of four lessons and final exam that is designed to onboard potential customers and staff members of CNM Cyber Team and WorldOpp Fellow Staff to the CNM Cyber's managed learning environment.

Lesson 1. What CNM Cert is

We are at the first lesson of the session that is designed to welcome you to CNM Cyber. The whole session consists of four lessons, each of which is 8-12 sentences long, and one final exam, which includes 10 questions. The number of exam attempts is unlimited; 100% is needed in order to move forward.

All the lessons and exam are published at CNM Cert, which is a learning management system. Generally speaking, those learning management systems are designed to support formal education and one's learning.

Not every learning management system is the same; CNM Cert differs from many. For instance, some of learning management systems primarily deliver their learning content such as lectures or classes. But it is not the primary purpose of CNM Cert.

The word, Cert, in the system's name stands for certification. Most importantly, CNM Cert hosts quizzes, examinations, and other assessments. Those assessments are used to plan your learning experiences and track your progress. In other words, the primary purpose of CNM Cert is its assistance in your educational planning, as well as monitoring and controlling of your learning.

Lesson 2. What CNM Cyber is

CNM Cert is a part of a bigger managed learning environment, which is called CNM Cyber. Beyond CNM Cert, that managed learning environment integrates ten various systems that can possibly function separately as standalone ones.

For example, CNM Video is the video-sharing system of CNM Cyber. This system shares those videos that are used in the learning content delivery. CNM Cyber's users can also comment on the shared videos, ask questions, and/or upload their own videos up to the system.

CNM Wiki is CNM Cyber's document collaboration system. There, learners may not only learn something, but also collaborate on new content creation. In that way, CNM Wiki can be useful in hands-on training and learning by making.

Another content management system will be called CNM Page. It will look and feel more like a traditional website and is expected to be launched in 2020.

CNM Social is a social networking system of CNM Cyber. This system accommodates a social network of those who use CNM Cyber. Various communities of this system are called "spaces". Each "space" at CNM Social has its own announcement board and messaging feature. Each "space" can also have its private wiki.

Some spaces are open to everyone and you are welcome to join any of those in order to post your questions or share your experiences. If you don't know where to start, you can join the "Welcome space". You can also explore those spaces that are designed for those users who speak languages rather than English.

Various systems of CNM Cyber are available at sub-domains such as cert.friendsofcnm.org for CNM Cert or wiki.friendsofcnm.org for CNM Wiki.
