The CNM Cyber Welcome Session (or, simply, welcome session) is the group of four lessons and final exam that is designed to onboard potential customers and staff members of CNM Cyber Team and WorldOpp Fellow Staff to the CNM Cyber's managed learning environment.

Lesson 1. What CNM Cert is
Lesson 1 content
- You are at the first lesson of the four-lesson session that is designed to welcome you to CNM Cyber. Every lesson is 8-12 sentences long. In order to get graduated, you need to pass the final exam, which includes 10 true/false questions and unlimited number of attempts.
- All the lessons and exam are published at CNM Cert, which is a learning management system. Learning management systems are usually designed to support knowledge-centered training, so is CNM Cert.
- Interactions between an instructor and learners are the core of knowledge-centered training. Some of learning management systems primarily deliver their learning content such as lectures and instructor-led classes. This very lesson is an example of knowledge-centered training as well; however, the content delivery is not the primary purpose of CNM Cert.
- The word, Cert, in the system's name stands for certification. Most importantly, CNM Cert hosts quizzes, examinations, and other assessments. Those assessments are used to plan your learning experiences and track your progress. In other words, the primary purpose of CNM Cert is its assistance in your educational planning, as well as monitoring and controlling of your learning path.

Lesson 2. What CNM Cyber is

- CNM Cert is a part of a bigger managed learning environment, which is called CNM Cyber. Beyond CNM Cert, CNM Cyber integrates ten various systems that can possibly function separately as standalone ones.
- For example, CNM Video is the video-sharing system of CNM Cyber. Video-sharing system are usually designed to enable their users to upload, convert, store and play back audiovisual content on the World Wide Web. CNM Video shares those videos that are used in its learning content delivery and allows its users comment and ask questions related to the uploaded videos.
- CNM Wiki is CNM Cyber's document collaboration system. Document collaboration systems are usually designed to help multiple people work together on single documents to achieve their distinguished latest versions. Before this welcome session was published at CNM Cert, it was developed and can still be previewed at the wikipage titled CNM Cyber Welcome Session at CNM Wiki.
- At CNM Wiki, learners may not only learn something, but also collaborate on new content creation. In that way, CNM Wiki can be useful in abilities-centered training like project-based learning and learning by making beyond just knowledge-centered training.
- The content management system of CNM Cyber is called CNM Page. It will look and feel more like a traditional website and is expected to be launched in 2020.

- CNM Social is a social networking system of CNM Cyber. Social networking systems are usually designed to help people build relationships with other people who share similar activities, backgrounds, interests, or real-life connections.
- CNM Social accommodates a social network of those people who use CNM Cyber. CNM Social provides every online community with its own "space". Each "space" at CNM Social has its own announcement board and messaging feature. Each "space" can also have its private wiki.
- Some spaces are open to everyone and you are welcome to join any of those in order to post your questions, share your experiences, or get in touch with someone else. If you don't know where to start, you can join the "Welcome space". You can also explore those spaces that are designed for those users who speak languages rather than English.

Lesson 4. How CNM Cyber works

- In the World Wide Web, CNM Cyber is located at the friendsofcnm.org hostname. Friends Of CNM is the commercial company that sponsors CNM Cyber, employs its staffers, and, generally speaking, executes the requirements of CNM Cyber Team. Accordingly, CNM Cyber Team is a team of volunteers of CNM, which is a non-profit group.
- Various systems of CNM Cyber are available at sub-domains such as cert.friendsofcnm.org for CNM Cert or wiki.friendsofcnm.org for CNM Wiki.
- If you would like to update your profile or change your password, you need to use the system that is called CNM Cabin. It is a user management system of CNM Cyber.
- User management systems are usually designed to help users view their profiles, change preferences, and manage access to various resources such as systems, networks, and services. So is CNM Cabin. It is located at cabin.friendsofcnm.org.
