The CNM Cyber Welcome Course (or, simply, Welcome Course; formerly known as CNM Cyber Welcome Session; hereinafter, the Course) is a set of learning activities designed to onboard potential customers to the CNM Cyber's managed learning environment. The Course is made up of a (a) preview lesson, (b) preparation lesson, which consists of ten parts, and (c) the entrance exam The Course also serves as the pre-requisite to both the CNM Cyber Team and WorldOpp Fellow Staff designed to onboard its future staff members.

Currently, the Course is published at CNM Cert; however, its first two activities shall be also available at CNM Page when that content management system is available. The Course offering is a vital part of WorldOpp Sourcing.

Preview beginning

Part 1 Preview content

You are at the course that is designed to welcome you to CNM Cyber, which is a combination of services for those who are on the job market, are going to be, or would like to be. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be granted access to its services.

This course is made up of three learning activities. The first is a preview -- you are here. The preview is followed by the exam preparation. The final activity is the entrance exam. Availability of the successor activity depends on successful completion of the previous one.

There is no time limit to complete the course, but the current status of your account is temporary. Its lifetime cannot exceed 6 months. If you pass the entrance exam within that time, your account shall become permanent. It shall be closed, if not. By the way, the number of accounts you can open is unlimited. Plan on setting aside at least six hours to complete the entire course.

Part 2 of the Preview

Part 2 Preview content

The first two activities -- preview and preparation -- are both lessons. The preview consists of 2 parts and preparation lesson consists of 10 parts. Every lesson part is followed by a one-question multiple-choice quiz. The preview lessons mimic the preparation ones.

In order to graduate, you need to pass the entrance exam. This exam includes 6 multiple choice and 14 true/false questions. The number of attempts to pass the entrance exam is unlimited.

Your status will not changed if you fail the exam completely. If you don't fail, you will be granted access to the services. If you neither pass nor fail, your access will be limited.

When you create an account at opplet.net, you will be assigned a student alias and able to enroll in that course. The course is located at cert.friendsofcnm.org and available 24/7.

Launch your IT career today! Apprentices are urgently needed! Create an account (a.k.a. "register") at opplet.net, click on CNM Cert, enter your login and password, and enroll in the "Welcome Course." The system will assign you a student alias. Alternatively, you can access this course at cert.friendsofcnm.org -- log in and click Site home. Employer's services are free of charge to employment candidates. Neither education nor experience is required to start.

For speakers of languages other than English

Separate announcements may be created in order to target those promising users of CNM Cyber who speak languages other than English.

Problems to be resolved

1. The user registered at opplet.net, but didn't know what to do next
2. When the user got to the moodle, the user didn't know what to do next. Getting to the course was a challenge to me, not talking about the user.
3. When the user got enrolled into the welcome course, the user started with the exam, skipping the lesson.
