These include COLLES (Constructivist On-Line Learning Environment Survey) and ATTLS (Attitudes to Thinking and Learning Survey). Roles and permission settings

  • In Administration > Survey administration > Locally assigned roles, selected users can be given additional roles in the activity.
  • Role permissions for Survey activity can be changed in Administration > Survey administration > Permissions.

Adding a Survey

  1. First, turn the Editing on and click "Add an activity" link in the section you wish to add your survey. From the drop-down menu, choose Survey. All settings may expanded by clicking the "Expand all" link.
  2. Enter the required information specified as:
    1. Name : It will form the link learners click on to do the survey.
    2. Survey type : Critical Incidents, COLLES or ATTLS.
    3. Description : Add a description of your survey here. Click "Show editing tools" to display the rich text editor, and drag the bottom right of the text box out to expand it.
    4. Choose whether or not to display the description on the course page
  3. You may also use Common module settings and Restrict access/Activity completion (if settings are enabled).
