Q&As

(Excerpt from Talk: Friends Of CNM Event Administrator)
Looking at the job description for the candidates, I noticed you are a bit relaxed on the desired skills and qualifications. How complex would the tasks be and how elaborate is the interviewing process for these candidates?
From my perspective, I stated all the desired skills. That is why I prefer behavioral interviews over general ones. Usually, one particular question -- what would a candidate like to start with? -- is enough to assess the candidate.
Would we need to gauge their comprehension skills before bringing them on board?
Based on my experience, comprehension is not the biggest problem. The ability to find out what the client (i.e., me) wants is.
I would like to get some clarification on which of the services -- for the vulnerable, paying employers, or paying students -- takes priority.
We are not there yet -- hopefully, we will get there in a couple of years and then decide. For now, Friends Of CNM is hiring the Administrator in order to primarily facilitate learners' testing of the tentative materials and, therefore, to further develop the service. After the service is up and running, we will make one to three websites and look for donors, paying employers, and/or paying students. Whoever comes first will get the priority.
