WorldOpp.org (hereinafter, the Website) is the official website of WorldOpp that yet needs to be designed. Its purpose is to identify the needs of the website visitors and guide these visitors to those resources that these visitors look for. The Website will be hosted at CNM Cloud.


Functionality

Welcome screens

Every CNM webpage shall have a welcome screen, which is:
  1. Accessed when a user clicks on the page tab on other pages; and
  2. Cannot be accessed by page special tabs in the main menu.
Welcome screens shall have no title.

Quick-access buttons

Quick-access buttons vary from one page to another page. However, they need to emerge at the bottom of every screen of every page.

External links

Preferably, every text link shall be accompanied by a video link. Every link to external resources (not CNM webpages) shall be directed at:
  1. Videos posted at YouTube if they are available; or
  2. Corresponding CNM Wikis pages if other CNM webpages are not available.

Website-wide navigation

Website header

Although every page uses its own header, the following features shall appear at every header on every screen:
  1. (left or right side) Page title; and
  2. (the opposite to the trademark side) Main menu.

Page title

This title is a part of Website header. It consists of the following elements:
  1. The clickable trademark name, WorldOpp, that points to the Landing Page; and
  2. Page special heading, which are specific for every page. Only the Landing Page has no heading.

Main menu

This menu is a part of Website header. It consists of the following tabs:
  1. Home that points to the Landing Page;
  2. Page special tabs, which are specific for every page;
  3. Sign in that points to the authorization of CNM Cloud.

Website footer

Every page, but not every screen, shall contain the same navigation blocks at the bottom. These blocks are:
  1. Footer banner;
  2. WorldOpp footer (doesn't appear at the mobile version);
  3. FriendsOfCNM footer.
On the contrary to the website footer, Quick-access buttons shall appear on every screen. Although they are not a part of the website footer, the footer shall leave some empty space at the end of the page to display them.

This banner is 100% of the width. It is orange-colored and includes the following:

WorldOpp footer

This block doesn't appear at the mobile version. The desktop and tablet versions include:
  1. (optionally) WorldOpp's logo;
  2. All tabs of the titled zones of all navigational resources, which are grouped by pages:
  3. Text: WorldOpp is the signature economic development programme of Friends Of CNM. The purpose of this programme is jobs for vulnerable communities and individuals.
  4. Social media links: Facebook | Twitter | LinkedIn | Instagram | Google+ | YouTube
  5. Text and form: Get exclusive news about upcoming programs, panels and community events. Your email (field) Signup now (button). By sharing your email, you agree to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

This block includes:
  1. (optionally) FriendsOfCNM's logo;

Website-wide design

Although the design hasn't been identified, https://worldopp.org can be taken as a starting point.

User experience

The main objective of the Website is to divide the interested visitors into three paths:
  1. The potential workforce shall be offered to click on Get employed and continue with WorldOpp Orientation;
  2. The potential supporters shall be offered to click on Get involved and continue with a special part of the Website, which consequently shall divide those in (a) donors, (b) volunteers, and (c) employers;
  3. The potential customers of career services shall be offered to click on Get trained and continue with FriendsOfCNM Store.

Graphics

  1. All photos and videos shall:
    • Be authentic; no third-party photo or video shall be allowed;
    • Appear black and white on the Website's pages;
    • Be clickable; colorful photos and videos may emerge on the click;
  2. All drawings shall be in the Scalable Vector Graphics format. Third-party drawings are allowed if their usage doesn't violate copyright laws.
  3. Intervals between contents (texts, titles, graphics, etc.) inside of the same piece shall be a half of those outside the area.

Zones

With one exception of Footer banners, the Website's design utilizes zones, which are 100% of the width. One tab area can include several zones. Two types of zones are:
  1. Backgrounded zones are published on some graphic using the parallax effect;
  2. Transparent zones have no graphic backgrounds.
The backgrounded zones shall be followed by the transparent zones, but not necessarily vice versa. Footer banners are the only exception.

Zone-to-zone transitions

Every zone's height shall allow to observe at least 50% of the height of the title of the next zone.

Favicons

Favicons emerge in every page head; they utilize the logo and are available for 16, 32, and 180 (for Apple-touch) sizes.

Fonts

No more than two different fonts are allowed on any page.

Colors

Two colors of the logo, orange and gray, as well as black are allowed on any page.

First of all, Target audiences vary. WorldOpp Fellow Candidates is the most desired target audience for now; we guess that 16-19 is the most efficient age group.
