Website Requirements

Expected deliverable in this project would include;

Website Landing Page

  1. The website landing page would be a brief presentation of what CNM is about -- General overview of CNM, what Friends of CNM is, Partners of CNM and CNM Team members/Stakeholders. The landing page may also contain CNM goals and objectives as well as a brief history of CNM.
  2. Forms available on the website - visitors may be required to submit their credentials by filling forms. i.e when a visitor wants to join CNM, he/she will be provided with a form to fill.
  3. Website color theme -- the website may feature color theme of CNM
  4. Website buttons -- at the home page, there may be various buttons each button performing a specific function. Buttons may open a new window or provide a drop down menu. Buttons may include;
  • i). Home button -- returns to landing page
  • ii). Services -- Contain all services of CNM; CNM Cert, CNM Tube, CNMCyber.com
  • iii). Join CNM -- directs visitor to CNM Cert. Visitors may start by enrolling to CNM Cert Welcome course followed by other preceding courses.
  • iv). Become a partner -- This button may provide potential partners with an easy method to partnering with CNM. At the click of this button, a new window may open with a form requiring potential partners to fill their details.
  • Payment method; For a start, payment method would strictly be through PayPal. Payment procedures may be provided in paid services.

Paid Services Design and Process To access paid services from the website, visitors may be presented with a button on the website i.e "Services" or "CNM Services", once a visitor clicks to this button he/she may be directed to a new page on the same window where all the paid services of CNM are located i.e the paid events.

  • He/she may click to the service of their interest. For instance, a point in time when Friends of CNM may be marketing "All you need to know about management" a visitor may come to the website, click on services, here they may find all services of CNM, the person may scroll and locate the service of their interest, "All you need to know about management".
  • The visitor may click to this service he/she requires and be directed to a page containing; an overview of the service, goals of the service and objectives. This page may also contain the certification visitors may receive by completing all service requirements.
  • At the bottom of this page there may be an Enroll button. When a visitor clicks this button they may be provided with a form used to collect their basic information. Below the form would be a submit button, which a visitor may be required to click on after filling the form, just above the submit button there may be a check box, "get CNM Newsletters" (In the event that Friends of CNM have new services, the visitors who checked this box while submitting their credentials would be notified -- this check box may be used as a way of marketing new services). In the event that a visitor who has already submitted their credential completes a service and would like to join another paid service he/she may not be required to fill in their information over again.
  • After submitting credentials to CNM Website, next step may be mode of payment > here a visitor may be presented with a form containing the total cost of service at the top-middle part of the form, blow would be payment method providing methods of installments available for the service. Depending on the cost of the service and duration, payment methods may be provided accordingly.
  1. Services costing more than a $1,000 and a duration of more than one month payment methods may be as follows.
  2. Full installment -- Full payment of the amount, i.e $1,000 -- for this option visitors may be offered a 5% discount.
  3. Two installments -- payment of half the total payment at the beginning and the remaining balance at the middle of the course i.e after two weeks for a month long service.
  4. Three installments -- payment of half the total amount and the remaining balance split in two installments. When a visitor selects this option in a month long service that costs $1,000 He/she may be required to pay $500 at the beginning, $250 after two weeks and $250 after a week to clear the remaining balance of $250.
  • For a start, payment mode may be strictly PayPal before further advancement to other payment methods. After a visitor selects the method of installments he/she may be directed to PayPal where they may be required to log in to their PayPal account and make payment to the service and mode of payment of their selection.
  • After the payment the visitor may be provided with an enrollment key that is linked to the visitor`s credentials, thus any other person may not use the same enrollment key with their credentials. This may also mean only ther person who paid for the service is the one who may be provided with a certificate of completion at the end of the service. Enrollment keys may be developed in such a way that they may have a duration after which these keys expire.
  • With the enrollment the, the visitor may returns to the website, clicks on services, selects the service he/she has paid for. This time the system may require the visitor to enter his/her log in credentials together with the enrollment key(For visitors who have already submitted their credentials under the service of their interest, after logging out in their attempt to log in the system may automatically require an enrollment key that is entered only once).

Website would serve as a medium between us and our audience with the motive of achieving our objectives. So, the website could be divided into modules / pages such as as:

  • About CNM , executives of CNM (such as Friends of CNM).
  • Services of CNM and CNM Cyber Services and Markets where CNM targets.
  • Opportunities available , for example a "Career Service" page where interested candidates would be able to search for the opportunities and apply for them. There may be some opportunities offered by "Friends of CNM" for example "Hiring WorldOpp Fellows" . Upon click, viewer will be directed to Friends of CNM page for further detail and queries .
  • News and Events where updates will be posted. If we want to have "paid events", viewer can click , view the details . A payment method would be integrated to concerned activities for example paid events as discussed, paid hiring events, paid Seminars or Webinars where interested viewer would be able to pay through various available options. A news ticker would be available on Home page of the website as well.
  • A "Forum " page with posts according to segregated categories. For example an Event would also be published simultaneously on Forum and create new category where interested attendees can post their queries.
  • Home page can have generic information , a news ticker , and testimonials about CNM. In addition, links to our social sites such as facebook, meetup group (particularly for events ) can be added.
  • Due to the nature of purpose and modules, website design can be Dynamic and we can launch a prototype and conduct Usability Trials (within our team) in order to further modify if needed and get user feedback.
  • Website can have Registered users and Guest user as well. Registered users / Registration will be under certain cases. For example, supposed to either pay for the service or undertake EmployableU Concepts. Guest users will mostly have view only interfaces apart from "Contact" page whereas registered users will be allowed to take part in interactive activities such as Forums and receive notifications and updates on their emails. Discounted rates , for example, for Webinars can be made available for Registered users. Some marketing strategies can also be added for example "Discounted rates for first 50 members upon registration for an Event".
  • In News and Events page, event statistics can also be added in form of graphical illustrations for example about an event , in terms of number of attendees for each event. This can also serve as a marketing strategy.
  • Home page can also have a video about CNM.
