CNMCyber This Week (or, simply, this week; hereinafter, the Series) is the series of CNMCyber events that CNMCyber Coordinators organize on a weekly basis to exchange ideas, to present new developments and plans, as well as to market their work.

CNMCyber Team organized by one or more CNM Event Organizers (hereinafter, the Host) in order to:

  1. Discuss the work of CNMCyber Team over the past week to contribute to the development of the CNM Cloud Project, CNMCyber services and staff of the CNMCyber;
  2. Get updates on CNMCyber development firsthand.

The Event can also be used to attract people's interest in the project who can become buyers of CNMCyber services later. Unless the Event is Invitation-only, CNMCyber Meetup and CNM Social group serve as primary Communication channels (hereinafter, the Channels).

Development of the Series occurs under the CNMCyber This Week project.

Standing operating procedures

To organize the event before it starts, you need to:
  1. Find this and CNMCyber This Week pages;
  2. Open a Meetup group https://www.meetup.com/techdc/ and create the event at least one week in advance (you also should get the group administrator rights). Later, you can copy meetings and change small details and the date.
    1. title (required): CNMCyber This Week;
    2. date and time: time details;
    3. duration: online events are one hour long;
    4. featured photo: it can be CNM Cyber logo and other logos as well as photos from previous events (if they were offline);
    5. description: it should include meeting details and an agenda, for example: description. You also should add the specific details to be discussed at this particular meeting for each event;
    6. topics: you can pick up to 5 topics. Topics describe what your Meetup event is about in a word or two. They also help show our event to members with matching interests. Select a relevant, but wide range of topics that describe our event. For example: Pre-entry jobs, technology development Reporting, Recruiting & Hiring, Project Management;
    7. location: make this an online event and add the link;
    8. allow guests: the number is to be decided, but it's allowed.

There may be problems with Educaship Jitsi, so you should have more than 1 alternative video conferencing platform, preferably one internal and one external such as Zoom or Google meet;
  5. Create the page of this meeting on wiki. It should look like this: CNMCyber Week 2023-03-01. It includes a short description of the meeting subject and brief coordinator's reports and as well as links to predecessor and successor events, and to Category:CNMCyber This Week;
  6. Prepare recording tools. You can use this function in Educaship Jitsi, OBS Studio, Zoom, or Google meet and have at least 2 alternative programs to record just in cases such as Xbox Game Bar or OBS Studio, and you should use 2 programs in parallel, for example, recording in Educaship Jitsi + OBS Studio. You may use OBS Studio as your primary recording tool and Educaship Jitsi as the secondary recording tool (more details: issues). Detailed recording SOP are described here.
  7. Invite other coordinators to join the meeting and give them a link to the page of this meeting (where they can write down their brief reports); However as CNMCyber develops we shall shift to Virtual Machine, where everything will be done on the cloud.
  8. Prepare the report about your work last week: CNMCyber Coordinator needs.
  9. Reminder The host should send reminders to attendees about the meeting including the link.

    6. familiarize participants with the sample schedule;
    7. introduce participants;
    8. announce the current sections of the meeting;
    9. close the meeting;
  2. Present your report.

Security

For security, we use Fail2ban because it operates by monitoring log files (e.g. /var/log/auth.log, /var/log/apache/access.log, etc.) for selected entries and running scripts based on them. Most commonly this is used to block selected IP addresses that may belong to hosts that are trying to breach the system's security. It can ban any host IP address that makes too many login attempts or performs any other unwanted action within a time frame defined by the administrator. Includes support for both IPv4 and IPv6.
Calls use the P2P mode, which is end-to-end encrypted via DTLS-SRTP between the two participants for encrypted communication (secure communication). Group calls also use DTLS-SRTP encryption, but rely on the Jitsi Videobridge (JVB) as video router, where packets are decrypted temporarily. All data is transmitted only through our server, and comprehensive TLS encryption provides protection against interception and unauthorized eavesdropping.

Malware protection

Previously, Opplet developers struggled with the viruses, so an effective anti-virus strategy must be found -- what was the solution?
