During this time, Gary's curiosity led him to explore Natural Language Processing (NLP), where he outlined how English could be used as a programming language. His insights sparked new possibilities in AI and language processing.

In 2012-2018, Gary also served as a volunteer leader for technical skills at CNM, a non-profit group in Northern Virginia. He led the development of CNM Cyber, a platform designed to empower nonprofits and community organizations with cybersecurity resources.

By 2023, Gary found himself leading a groundbreaking project at the Virginia Institute of Technology, exploring AI's impact on the workplace, workforce development, and the school-to-work transition. This initiative aimed to develop an AI-powered platform offering exploration, orientation, training, and work experience in artificial intelligence. Set to launch in Kenya in the second quarter of the year, the platform promised to revolutionize AI education and empower learners worldwide.
